Meet Nic Perner, a Master of the Merit System!

Nic is a thirteen year old student who, over the past five years, has mastered impressive skills in mechanical engineering and computer graphics while working with Edventures Online. Nic says what he likes best about the program is "applying what I learn to real world situations."

Nic likes math, and this interest has led him to the study of various programs including Pov Ray (ray tracing), LEGO CAD®, and the C programming language. His gear reduction animation (click on the image above to check it out!) was produced on 3DStudio MAX R3® and took a number of hours to design and several to render. Another of Nic's cool LEGO® animations and several of his LEGO® creations were recently seen on the nationally syndicated program, "Popular Mechanics for Kids" which airs every Saturday morning.
