    What is it?

    A lever is a plank or bar that pivots on a fulcrum. Levers provide a mechanical advantage when lifting or prying.

    Give me an example!

    Have you ever played on a seesaw? The board you sit on acts as a lever that pivots on a central fulcrum as you ride up and down.
