  • Egg Tooth

    What is it?

Birds and reptiles that hatch from eggs have an egg tooth to help them break out of the shell.

    Give me an example!

Young birds (like ducks) have their egg tooth on the tip of their beak or bill. Young reptiles (like snakes) have their egg tooth on the end of their nose. It's amazing how nature provides its young with the right tools!
