![]() Phase Change What is it? A phase change occurs when matter undergoes a physical change to become either a gas, liquid or solid. Give me an example! Common examples of phase changes occur when ice melts forming water or when the temperature is increased to the point where water is vaporized (becomes a gas) by boiling. Phase changes also occur in the reverse order — for example, when water freezes into ice. Copyright ©2010, PCS Edventures, Inc. All Rights Reserved. |
