![]() Cavendish Experiment What is it? The Cavendish Experiment was a great leap forward in measuring the pull of gravity. It helped pave the way toward measuring the density of the earth. This experiment was devised in 1798 by Henry Cavendish, a British physicist. The Cavendish Experiment helped establish the following equation: G=Fd2/mm1. G is the force of gravity.
