![]() Triglyph What is it? A triglyph is a decorative carving in the frieze of a Doric Order in classical architecture. Give me an example! A triglyph is one of the more elegant and simple designs of the Five Orders. Triglyphs consist of three raised vertical members that almost look like miniature columns. Triglyphs are separated from each other by a V-shaped groove. Groups of triglyphs are separated from other groups by a plain flat panel called a metope. Copyright ©2010, PCS Edventures, Inc.
